Martha's Garden Seeds owner with greenhouses in the background

Hello, my name is Michelle Way and I am the owner and grower and single employee of Martha's Garden Seeds.  Although I officially work alone, I couldn't do this without the support of my parents, my husband and my son!

Martha's Garden is located near Southey, Saskatchewan which is about 30 minutes north of Regina, Saskatchewan.

I grow pesticide-free flower and vegetables seeds without the use of inorganic fertilizers.  I am committed to soil regeneration, reducing the use of plastics, and providing a safe home for native bees and other pollinators.

I love specialty and heirloom plants and am always looking for varieties that grow well in northern climates. I know the challenges of the short and unpredictable growing season in Zone 3.

Why the name Martha's Garden?  Martha was my grandmother.  I am growing on land that was once her garden.  Both of my grandmothers were tremendous gardeners and both of my grandfathers and my dad were tremendous farmers.  I am so lucky to be able to carry on the tradition of gardening and farming in my own way!
