  • Start tomatillo seeds indoors 4-6 weeks prior to your last frost date. Tomatillo plants grow quickly and can easily become quite leggy so make sure not to start too early.

    Press seeds into soil and cover lightly. Keep moist until germination in ~7-10 days.

    Can be "potted up" with stem buried if plants become leggy.

    Transplant after risk of frost has passed in a sunny location with plants spaced 24-36 inches (60-90 cm) apart.  

    At least two plants are required for fruit set.
