  • Start tomato seeds indoors 6-8  weeks prior to your last frost date.

    Press seeds into soil and cover lightly. Keep moist until germination in ~5-10 days.

    Tomatoes benefit from "potting up" at least once or twice before transplanting. Bury the stem up to the plants' lowest set of leaves when repotting and the plant will grow new roots along this portion of buried stem.

    Transplant after risk of frost has passed in a sunny location with plants spaced 18-24 inches (45-60 cm) apart. Indeterminate varieties require support.
