Are your seeds suitable for Canadian climates?
Yes. Our seeds are selected and grown with Canadian conditions in mind, including short growing seasons and variable weather. All varieties are trialed in Saskatchewan to ensure reliable performance in northern gardens.
Where are your seeds grown?
Martha’s Garden Seeds is based in Saskatchewan where the vast majority of our seeds are grown. All seeds are trialed locally and selected for their suitability to Canadian gardens.
Are your seeds open-pollinated or heirloom?
Yes. All of our seeds are open-pollinated with many heirloom varieties, allowing gardeners to save seed and grow plants that remain true to type.
Are your seeds genetically modified?
No. Our seeds are GMO-free. We do not knowingly buy or sell genetically modified seeds and proudly support the Safe Seed Pledge.
Do your seeds work in short growing seasons?
Yes. Almost all of our flower and vegetable varieties are chosen specifically for short-season gardens and perform well in regions with a limited frost-free period.
Are your seeds suitable for beginner gardeners?
Yes. Many of our varieties are easy to grow and well suited to beginners. Each product listing includes growing information to help gardeners get started successfully.
Do you sell seeds that attract pollinators?

Can I grow your seeds in containers or small spaces?

Yes. Seeds are tested for germination to ensure quality and viability before being offered for sale.
Can I save seeds from plants I grow?
Yes. Because our seeds are open-pollinated, our varieties allow gardeners to save seed for future seasons and create heirlooms of their own.
