Dwarf Lemon Ice Tomato is a compact, productive tomato variety producing smooth, pale yellow fruits with a mild, refreshing flavour. Well suited to small gardens, raised beds, and containers, this dwarf tomato offers the full taste of a slicing tomato on a manageable plant. Fruits are lightly sweet with low acidity, making them ideal for fresh eating, salads, and sandwiches. Despite its smaller stature, this variety delivers dependable yields throughout the season. This variety was developed through The Dwarf Tomato Project, a collaborative open-source breeding effort. It originated from a cross between Anna Banana Russian and Roza Vetrov made by Patrina Nuske Small and was selected and named by Linda Black, with contributions from several project volunteers.

Start tomato seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before your last frost date. Gently press seeds into the soil, cover lightly, and keep the soil consistently moist until germination, which typically occurs within 5-10 days.
For best growth, "pot up" tomato seedlings once or twice before transplanting outdoors. When repotting, bury the stem up to the lowest set of leaves to encourage root development along the buried stem, strengthening the plant.
After the risk of frost has passed, transplant tomatoes into a sunny location, spacing plants 18-24 inches (45-60 cm) apart. Indeterminate varieties will benefit from support, such as stakes or cages, to help manage upward growth and maximize yield.
