Melon - Mini Cantaloupe Seeds

  • Start mini cantaloupe seeds indoors no earlier than 3-4 weeks prior to your last frost date. Melon plants do not like to become root bound so make sure not to start plants too early. Can also direct-seed after risk of frost has passed in areas with longer growing season.

Sow seeds ~1 inch (2.5 cm) deep and cover. Keep moist until germination in ~5-15 days.

Transplant after risk of frost has passed in a sunny location with plants spaced 2-3 feet (60-90 cm) apart with 4-6 feet (120-180 cm) between rows.

  • Cucumis melo

Also known as Minnesota Midget melon, musk melon, rock melon
