Start Fama Blue Scabiosa seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before your last frost date. To enhance germination, perform cold stratification by placing seeds in a moist paper towel inside a plastic bag or container, and refrigerate for 2-3 weeks prior to planting.
Press seeds into the soil and cover lightly, keeping the soil consistently moist until germination, which typically occurs in 10-20 days. Once the risk of frost has passed, transplant seedlings to a sunny location, spacing plants 12-18 inches (30-45 cm) apart.
